Almighty Haul!

So recently i have been very very naughty. I've been a little bit better financially so decided to blow it all by going on a shopping binge :( naughty naughty Lillian. Last week the Seven dials in covent garden had an event one night where the majority of the shops all had 20% for one night. So i had a little splurge there and then i went to Kingston on saturday and had another little haul. There's also some bits and bobs shoved in that i got a while back but haven't shown yet.
I know some people don't like seeing hauls so it's all under the cut :)
Also i've put a * next to products i'm planning to review, if there's anything else you'd like to see a swatch or review of please just leave a comment :)
All prices are without the discount taken off.

Latest Haul

This was my most recent haul, from about 2 weeks ago (i'm proud of myself, i've barely bought anything since! This may not seem much of an achievement to most people but i am very proud of myself) when i took a little trip into Wimbledon and visited the shops that are my current Kryptonite: Superdrug and Boots.

Firstly i popped into Superdrug and, for me, got away with a very small amount! I picked up Sleek blush in Flamingo, GOSH foundation in porcelain ( i may have finally found my skins perfect match!) and GOSH nail polish in Bright Passion and Sweet Peach. Sweet Peach was on clearance and should have been half price (£2.50) but i found out when i got home and looked at my receipts (i really should start looking at them sooner!) that i had been really undercharged. I only paid £1.25 for Sweet Peach, a quarter of the full price, and, for some reason i have no idea why i only paid £1 for Bright Passion! I felt quite guilty about it, but also very pleased! Saved me a few bob, thanks Superdrug :)

Then i went to Boots and picked up a lot of bits:
Colorsport 24 hour eyeliner in black, Maybelline Falsies mascara in black, Collection 2000 eyeliner in Dig It, 17 Nail polish in Tropical Island, 17 nail polish in Orange Soda, 17 Eyeshadow in Funfair

i had a voucher for 150 extra points when you spent over a certain amount, and another for 50 points if i bought a 17 Eyeshadow. So i did, and it was 3 for 2 on 17! I also got Soap and Glory's Flake Away but forgot to photo it and I think i also got some boring lady things like tampons.

Swatches and reviews of these new products will be coming up! :)

Helloooo

Illamasqua week (which yes has almost spanned 3 weeks now, it would have been a week if i posted my looks and reviews consectuively but, i'm me so that was not going to happen :P) is drawing to a close now, i only have 3 reviews left to post and will hopefully have at least 2 done today. I've really enjoyed doing it, but i want to know how you guys felt about it. If you liked seeing a whole lot of reviews and looks using only one companies products then i could do it again with other companies. The idea of it was meant to be a sort of guide to the brand for anyone who didn't know much about them before, or did but had been put off by the price or anything. But if you found it irritating in any way please tell me :)

In case anyone thought otherwise i'd just like to say that i am not in anyway affiliated with Illamasqua, i didn't recieve any of the products to review or anything like that, i just really adore the brand.

I was feeling really down yesterday and ended up being very very naughty and breaking my spending ban quite badly. I feel very ashamed of myself now but i just couldn't help it. I'm going to try to keep myself really really busy from now on and then hopefully i won't give myself a chance to buy anything else!

I'm not feeling down anymore though. Partly because I just  woke up on the right side of the bed this morning, and it's been such a nice sunny day and my animals are all being beautiful and partly because, when ego-searching this morning, I discovered  this little write up on my blog

'What I love about Lillian’s blog is her ingenuity and her drive to create something unique in a world that is so replete with same, same, same. Lillian’s makeup tutorials are full of innovative products, methods and combinations. No two looks are ever the same.
The best thing about Lillian, however, is her honesty. She shares very openly her struggles with social anxiety, her fears, and her frustrations with life. The way she writes is compelling and almost like a conversation. It’s absolutely addictive.'

Now i'm certain such praise is really not deserved but i just wanted to say that if whoever wrote this is reading this i can never thank you enough. It truly touched me from the bottom of my heart and has made me feel so wonderful. Word's can't really express how good it made me feel about myself, just knowing there are people who so much appreciate the nonsense i write :)

You may have noticed i've been quite  sparse on the looks front recently, this is because i've been a bit low and staying indoors a lot so i don't tend to do a full face worth noting, but i want to do more, so hopefully i'll start showing at least 2 outfits and faces a week. Even if i'm just in all day i'll dress up for the fun :)
I'm also going to start working my way through the list of requests i have. I'm so useless, i ask you guys what you'd like to see and then when you tell me i ignore it for weeks! Shame on me.

Recently my puppy Sir Digby has started playing with my older dog Minnie. Minnie has never played before in her life and it has made us all so happy to see her rolling around being silly with Digby, she seems so much younger now.

Bits n Bobs

Hi everyone, i'm taking a break from my Illamasqua week for a couple of days as i have been/will be busy with family things because of Mothers day tomorrow. Reviews still to come include powder eyeshadows, sheer lipglosses, cream eyeshadows and medium pencils as well as more Illamasqua heavy FOTDs.

I've had a rather horrid last few days. On thursday i put my ipod on to charge and when i removed it it just had this big red X on it with a website for ipod support. I went on and the website told me to put it into 'disk mode' by pressing certain buttons in a certain order, this didn't work so i figured it was just being tricky and, as there is a new apple shop in wimbledon, thought i'd just ask claire to take it along and get the support techs to do it for me. I didn't think anything was seriously wrong as the website implied it was just a simple problem that would be fixed by 'resetting' it. But no, the support people told clare that the hard drive inside it is completely broken and, as there is a tiny tiny dent (so small i hadn't even noticed it) the warranty is void.

Now this would be enough to upset anyone, but to me it is particularly awful because, possibly due to my social problems, i actually cannot bare to leave my house without music (i have a super retro walkman i keep for emergencies, but it has gone missing :( ) and so this was a very horrible blow for me as it means i have to save £180 for a new one asap.

You may remember about a month ago i wrote a post detailing some financial problems i had (here if you're interested) and am just about to start paying back the loan i got from my Mum to bail me out. So i was already unhappy because it would take me a few months to save enough for my ipod and mean i would have literally no money to spare for fun and frivolity.

But then the story gets worse. I went to check my bank details, hoping my money from the government might have came through early. It hadn't, but i found that my bank has again put charges on my account. For a lot of money i don't have to spare. And while last time it was a mistake on my part but i was to blame, this time i have absolutely no idea what i could have done to deserve these charges. I have been so, so careful with my money since the last time and i know for certain i haven't gone over my overdraft again.

I am hoping that i will be able to get these funds overturned but am frightened i won't because my mum says everything will have to be done face-to-face at a bank. I can't go myself because of my phobia and i fear because bank details are so private they won't allow anyone to discuss the problem on my behalf.

As such i might not be able to post my giveaway prizes for a little while. I don't think it's fair to end the giveaway but make the winners wait for their prizes so i've decided to extend the end date to the 1st of april. To apologise for all this everyone who has entered/will enter will now get 2 chances to win (people who did blog posts about it will get 3). I hope this makes it up to you and i am so sorry for any inconvinience. If you still haven't entered and would like to please just enter here

In non-depressing news i'm about to finish my current book, Pride and Prejudice. I am very proud of myself as it is the first book i've read in years not written for children (i just prefer childrens books to adults, they're more fun and have more interesting plots for me) and i have been very much enjoying it. I actually did P&P for my english GCSE's but never bothered to read more than the first few chapters (just learn the themes, a few select quotes and watch the video - bish bash bosh A* for me! XD). Next i am going to read Twilight as a 'know your enemy' thing :P No offence to any twilight fans reading, one of my best friends adores it.

Love to you all

Grumble grumble

ugh i had an awful trip home from work (i have a very very part time job doing the accounting and admin for my brother-in-laws tree surgery form) my sister was down my way earlier so i got a lift up to their house but was ready to take the utterly ridiculous bus that goes from outside their house to mine to get home. So i left 10 minutes before the bus was due but as i left the house i saw it whizzing by. This stupid bus only comes once an hour (it's the strangest bus ever, most of the stops don't actually have any indication that they are in fact stops, you just stand at the side of the road and hail it. It passes through all these tiny residential streets and somehow takes about 40 minutes when if we drive there it takes 15 minutes tops) and as i'd finished all my work i couldn't be bothered to hang around for another hour. So I asked Neil (the brother in law) how to get to the bus stop that would take me to wimbledon. Neil gave me some completely baffling directions that changed everytime i asked him to repeat them. So i ended up walking along the bust route for half an hour until i found a main road, which luckilly has a bus stop that goes to Wimbledon. I then waited for a bus for half an hour during which time i discovered my special Nintendo DS thing (it lets me download games!) wasn't working, so i may have lost my Mario and Luigi: Bowsers inside story game, which would suck. Then at wimbledon i had to change and wait another 5 minutes for the bus to my house. All of this time i had no makeup on (which looks so much worse now i have blonde eyebrows, i look hideous) and was wearing, oh the shame, i was wearing my girlfriends jogging suit. I thought as i was getting a lift there and then just had the bus home, which is generally empty when i leave work, i could cope with being so slovenly. And it was freezing out.
Anyway i'm well aware most peoples commutes are worse than that, and they have to do it everyday, but i just wasn't prepare for it so it made me really anxious and fed up.

But that's enough grumbling, have some good news!
So far i have sent £25 from my blog sale proceeds to the youtubers for Haiti fund, just under half of the total i made :)
I want to thank everyone who bought from me, i really couldn't have given so much on my own. I hope you all enjoyed what you got :) I've lowered the prices of most of my remaining items, so please check them out, i will also be posting some new things next week (i've been saying this for ages but i've been busy with Sir Digby).

I've been so so naughty recently, i am absolutely skint but i've been hauling like a motherbitch. I also spent loads on valentines day! Luckilly i shall be paid soon, it's only a very small paycheck but it will help.

I've also continually forgotten to mention i have a twitter, it's here: http://twitter.com/LillianLow please tell me if you have one too if i'm not following you already :)

Sir Digby Chicken Ceasar is asleep on the back of my neck. It's incredibly cute but very uncomfortable!

That's enough various chatter for tonight, back to the beauty posts!

Can't... Stop...Shopping D:

I have a serious shopping problem. It makes me feel better when i'm down or poorly (i have a stomach bug today). It's not at all good for my bank balance, but when i do have money in my account i just go 'why not have a nice splurge?'.
So... i'm in the process of making another E.L.F. order. Last week i bought some things from Morgana Minerals, an eyeshadow pallette thing from Stars Makeup Heaven, a big TKB haul (though at least my girlfriend and i are going sharing it) and eyeshadow pressing solution from coastal scents. It's terrible!
Also on thursday i'm going to a Carnaby Street event, where you get 20% off a load of shops (http://www.carnaby.co.uk/grazia/) so i know i'm gonna be spending a hell of a lot there. Oh dear oh dear. Shame on me!
