Dancing times with Zoe!

Now my computer is up and running I have some very old looks to post, for most of these I can't remember most of what I was wearing because it was just too long ago but I have guessed things which should at least give a similar look.

This post is from sometime in early summer when I went out with one of my best friends, Zoe. I don't think I've mentioned Zoe before here but she is absolutely awesome and beautiful and knows everything there is to know about Lush products.

Anyway here's my face:

pulling faces:

I assume I'm wearing my usual foundation which is Illamasqua Skin Base in o2. My blush looks orangey and I would guess it's one of the colours from Sleeks Pumpkin Blush by 3 palette. The blue eyeshadow is matte so it could be from one of the Sleek matte eye palettes and I'm wearing a white eyeliner pencil, Illamasqua Precision Ink liquid eyeliner in Wisdom and some black mascara. My lipstick is a homemade one which is bright red with glitter that you can only really see in the closeup.

Here are me and Zoe being silly and slightly tipsy. There is no good lighting in my house!

I wanna go dancing now!

A few faces and outfits

Hullo! Sorry I've been gone again, I've not been very well.
Anyway I have some proper posts coming up (Look forward to Darling Girl and Cult Nails reviews and swatches very soon) but for now have a few recent faces and a couple of outfits. I'm not going to list what I'm wearing, but if you want to know any specific items just ask :)

In these next 3 I'm wearing mostly my homemade makeup :)

Hmm there's nothing that exciting really is there? :/ I seem to be a bit lost with makeup/blogging at the moment (though I think that's more to do with being poorly and falling so behind than anything else) so would really appreciates any requests for looks, swatches, reviews or anything really. Tell me what you'd like to see!

And under the cut there's some funny faces, it's what I do best!

My big mug

Thanks to everyone who commented so kindly on my last post. I WILL reply to all your comments, it's just taking me a ridiculously long time as I'm finding it difficult like blogging in general.

Blogger is acting weird for me at the moment, it might be because apperently my browser is no longer supported by blogger and it wants me to use Google Chrome. But that's not going to happen because I like Firefox! (other browsers are available)

Anyway I have some actually interesting posts for you coming up starting tomorrow (I promise!) like an event, swatches, reviews etc. But for now here's my big mug.

Wearing:
Face: Illamasqua Skin base in 02 (a tiny bit mixed with moisturiser), Nyx cream blush in Orange
Eyes: Illamasqua cane medium pencil smudged all over the lid and on the waterline, black mascara.
Lips: Mac Pro cream colour base in Pink Shock, Illamasqua sheer lipgloss in Divine

Because my hair is naturally very curly my fringe is a bit of a nightmare. I need to invest in some good straighteners. Or not be lazy and blow dry it properly.

My clothes are all from a few years ago so sorry if you like them!
Bunny top: Topshop (it's a size 10 or something, stupidly oversized!)
Shorts: Miss Selfridge
Tights: Topshop (you can't see them but they're nudeysheer with tiny, round, gold studs)
Shoes: Office

In other news I saw Scott Pilgrim the other day and hated it. It seems like the comic might be better. My room is still not tidy but better than the last photos I posted. And Eddie Argos is now officially my friend because he said so and can't take it back! MWA HA HA HA!

Also I am a moron.

Facey facey face

Just my face again. I promise for more interesting posts really soon!

Wearing:
Face: Illamasqua Skin Base foundation in 02, ELF Studio HD powder, a blush from Sleek Pumpkin palette (the pink one, can't remember the name)
Eyes: Black mascara, the Me Me Me eyeshadows reviewed here, Illamasqua Medium pencil in Cane.
Lips: Mac Magenta Lip pencil with sleek Glossed over the top (the gloss just has the name on a sticker which I had to remove to use it! From looking on their website I'm pretty sure it's Pump it Up)

I want to do some more interesting, avante garde ish faces but have trouble thinking up ideas. Give me some inspiration or themes and let's see what rubbish I can come up with! :D

I'm a bad beauty blogger

I photograph my makeup but then put it up months later and as a result completely forget what I've got on! As is the case here. I do know I'm wearing ELF Studio bottom lash mascara (which is fantastic! Full review to come), Illamasqua Medium pencil in Vow on my water line and Mac Superglass in Totally Bang (over a lip liner that I can't remember).
Sorry for being so crap! I wanted to post anyway because I thought It was a pretty look.

And just to keep myself from getting too vain, here's a picture of Sir Digby attacking me with licks.

That's my true face everyone!

Happy Easter!

So it's Easter. I have another bloody cold but it's not stopping me eating my weight (which is weighty) in chocolate, for it is the law.

I've been trying to get some looks done with products I need to review but unfortunately I have a giant, foul spot right next to my mouth, which is also chapped and red and sore from the cold (also my nose is all dry and flaky) so I look like I have some horrible disease. Niccceee.

Instead here's a look from a couple of weeks ago when I went to my friend Mikey's art exhibition (Bonus fun story: It was at the university he teaches it but he gave us the wrong name of the gallery and no indication of what building it was in. Claire and I wandered around the campus aimlessly with her asking students for directions to a gallery that didn't exist and me becoming more and more anxious. Then when we finally found it we appeared to be the only people who turned up who weren't students at the college. Oh the embarrassment. But then we had a nice time chatting with him). The look has absolutely nothing to do with Easter and I can't remember what I was wearing (except Inglot gel eyeliner in 79) so sue me! :P

Return of the funny face!

Now I love this outfit, I think it's so cute. But it's probably one of the least flattering things I could wear. The shorts fit me fine but really emphasize my belly and the top is both too small (at the tits where it gapes) and too big (at the waist which billows out makes me look less curvy than I actually am) But I don't care, I love my poodle top! It makes me feel like a 50s bad girl :D

Top: H by Henry Holland
Shorts: Primark
Tights: Basic black ones from anywhere.
Boots: Dr Martens

Hope you had either a spiritually fulfilling holiday or a happy secular celebration or chocolate or just a nice sunday wherever you are :)

Todays face

Ok You're probably bored of my big ol' face by now, but tough luck, here's mah ugly mug again! :P
Nothing interesting (once again, I really need to get my makeup mojo back and do some more exciting looks!) but I thought the eyes were pretty.

Face: Illamasqua Skin Base foundation in 02, ELF Studio HD powder, Barry M blusher in no 6
Eyes: MUA Professional Heaven and Earth Palette, Mac Neon 60s glitter, Illamasqua Masquara
Lips: Mac Lip pencil in Magenta, homemade lip gloss

FOTD - Lumi-nescent

Here's a purple and green look I done (apparently I was channelling the Joker) I think it turned out pretty pretty!

Wearing:
Face: Illamasqua Skin Base in 02, ELF Studio HD powder (can't remember or tell if I was wearing a blusher)
Eyes: Sugarpill Lumi, Sugarpill Tipsy, black mascara
Lips: Mac Violetta, Sugarpill Lumi

For the eyes I applied Lumi lightly all the way up to my browbone and then heavier on my lid. Then I took Tipsy and used an angled eyeliner brush to line my top lashline, create a wing and then bring it into the crease.

And I patted Lumi over my lipstick to just give it a little highlight. It made my lips look slightly fuller as well as adding a fun green sheen :)

I also really liked my outfit:

Wearing:
Black fluffy top thing (it's horribly short so I was wearing a primark vest underneath) by Motel
Fluffy skirt from Asos
Spotty tights from Primark
Black bow shoes from Office
Callooh and Callay Sparkling Snowflake necklace

I need to do some product reviews but I've been tidying my room and most of my makeup is thrown into a box and hard to reach at the moment. So it's gonna be faces and outfits for a while :/

FOTD - The Walk of Shame

Last saturday I went dancing with a friend of mine. All was going well and we were having a gay old time ala the Flintstones until suddenly and without warning she disappeared. I was lost and worried and very stressed . I  found out later that she went out for a ciggy and the bouncers wouldn't let her back in. She had no credit and I, being stupid and slightly drunk and wandering around the club looking for her, didn't think to try and ring/text her. When I found out what had happened she had already started off for her home, so I was very worried about having to journey home on my own at night as I can barely leave my house alone when it isn't dark and scary and I'm not inebriated and vulnerable. Luckilly we had gone to a club run by someone I know and he took me back to his house and let me sleep on his sofa (good old Carl!). In the morning I was so embarrassed and shy and worried about having been an imposition I got up before him and went on my merry way.
Wandering home in a sleep deprived stupor I felt very wicked and cool and youthful for once. It was a bit like having a one night stand, I would imagine, but without the awkwardness of having sex with someone for the first time.

Anyway the reason I'm relating this whole underwhelming story is that, somehow through a night of dancing, hours of sleeping scrunched on a couch and slight tears of stress, my eye makeup remained practically perfect!

(I shoved some lipstick on for the photo but the eyes were left alone)
And all that without primer!

Wearing:
Eyes: Sugarpill Magentric all over lid, Illamasqua Static in browbone and slightly in inner corner, Barry M Fine Glitter dust in 23  in outer v and crease.

Lips: Makeup For Ever lipstick in 152 (I think its discontinued)

I hope everyone in the US had a fun black friday and didn't get run over by stampedes of bargain hunters!

Speaking of, we're having a big sale!

Yes, I know, plug plug plug :P

A couple of faces

Just a couple of looks from the last little while. As usual I have forgotten most of what I was wearing because I am a rubbish beauty blogger!

Absolutely no clue!

Ahh I know this one as I did this look for my guest post on Floamia's blog :)

Here my eyes are  Brazen Cosmetics Jaded eyeshadow with Collection 2000 Glam Crystals glitter eyeliner in Dig It.

Here I know I'm wearing Illamasqua Cream Pigment in Emerge on my eyes and Atomic lipstick.

And here I'm wearing Milani Oran-gina lipstick

Also just a wee little plug ('cause I am annoying :P) to say that our Jewels and Ghouls collection launches tonight at 12 Midnight GMT and the 10% off ends tomorrow so you have a day to use it on the Halloween goodies :)
