It was Halloween innit?

Hi everyone! I hope everyone had a very happy Halloween. Halloween is one of my favourite holidays, we have a party every year and have 3 whole suitcases/trunks of decorations and usually I cook up a ridiculous amount of themed goodies and we play games and go really over the top. This year everyone's been very busy though and as I was the only one around I just couldn't deal with the stress, so we had a much calmer party with only 1 trunks worth of decorations :P

We decided to do the unthinkable and buy our costumes instead of making them. I know, terrible behaviour!
I was a clown. Here is my makeup.

I know, it's not very well done, but I sweated it all off in about 10 minutes anyway :P

Funk to Funky

Last saturday was David Bowie at a club I like. Claire and I decided to go.I hadn't been out dancing in a long long time and the first time in about 6 months I'd been and not had a panic attack on the way there. Hooray! It was actually quite nice and empty with lots of room for dancing. I had lots of fun.
I decided I of course had to do Bowie makeup, originally I wanted to do that weird gold-forehead-circle thing but didn't have time to come up with a good outfit so decided to be Pierrot Bowie like at the last Bowie night. This time though I tried to actually replicate the makep from the Ashes to Ashes video as best I could.

I thought I did quite a good job but sadly my round face and squashed strawberry looking nose just can't pull it off like Bowie and his cocaine chiselled cheekbones :(

Here I am doing my bet Klaus Nomi face. I hope my figure looks nicer in real life!

There's a couple  more under the cut :)

Wearing:
Face: Illamasqua Skin Base Foundation in SB02, ELF Studio high definition loose powder, Illamasqua Sin powder blush, Kryolan Frambosia powder (I've had this years and have no idea if it was originally meant to be a blush or eyeshadow), Evil Shades Twizted blush, Illamasqua liquid eyeliner in Abyss
Eyes: Linneaus Cosmetics eyeshadows in twiggy and Lanky, black mascara
Lips: Mac Lip liner in Cherry, Mac lipstick in Russian Red

OOTD - That's The Way To Do It!

On Sunday my friend Foz invited me to come to an exhibition about Punch and Judy with him. It was in Brighton (where he lives) and seeing as I love Foz and I love Punch and Judy I decided I had to make myself go, despite being scared rather witless. But I made it and after about an hour of trembling and panicking and failing to be a normal person I started to get comfortable enough to talk with him properly and we had a lovely day at the seaside. The exhibition wasn't as good as we had expected but we got to see a Punch and Judy show which I loved, I hadn't seen one since I was a tiny child. I'm pleased that the Devil still turns up and Judy still gets beaten with the slapstick (though the baby didn't get abused. I guess that's going too far these days :P). Then we wandered around the seafront looking at some galleries and mocking the psychics and carousel owner who cares naught for art, only for fish and chips and had tea in a cafe and chatted about his upcoming shows (Foz is a musician and arty performer man) and my rubbish circumstances. It was really nice and I'm so glad I made myself go! Now I feel all brave and proud of myself (and yes I do realise how pathetic that is). Anyway as It was a Punch and Judy themed trip I decided to dress in my most Mr Punch-esque outfit:

Yes, I do realise now that my tits are ridiculous, I thought the cardigan would cover them up a bit, but as you can see it didn't really help.

Dress: Homemade (designed and made partially by me but mostly by Claire :P)
Cardi: H&M
Tights: H&M
Shoes: Minna Parikka
Hairbow: Dolly Dagger

And now my big puppet face:

Face: Avon tinted moisturiser, Gosh porcelain foundation (as concealer), ELF complexion Perfection, Evil Shades Brazen blusher
Eyes: High Voltage Cosmetics Redhead brow powder, black mascara
Lips: Mac Russian Red lipstick

Because I generally dress like a sort of scarecrow/clown/80s pop star/ pantomime dame I'm used to having annoying comments shouted at me on the street (I don't think I deserve it and it does frighten me a lot but it's gone on since I can remember so I just put up with it) but sometimes the things that get shouted at me are amazingly stupid. For instance on Sunday some blokes started shouting 'Oi Coco The Clown! You look like a clown!' at me... Well Duhh! Oh God, I had no idea that my painted on cheeks, bright red lips and silly puffy metallic dress made me look slightly clownish! Thank goodness I have middle aged men pointing it out for me. It also made me giggle on the inside as Foz actually does dress as a sort of clown for performance.

Here's a couple of punch photos incase anyone else is interested:

Poor sad dead looking punch :(

Clowny Clown Clown

Saturday was David Bowie night at my favourite club, Feeling Gloomy. Bowie is one of my heroes, he's one of he biggest ponces ever to break onto the music scene. Anyway i dressed as a Pierrot ala Ashes to Ashes.

Makeup isn't that great as i was a little tipsy before i started it (and it would have looked a lot better if i had gotten around to bleaching my eyebrows, grr). Also i couldn't get any good photos of it, i did the old 'use blush to pretend one has cheekbones' trick :P

Face: Gosh foundation in Porcelain, Screenface White translucent powder, Illamasqua Powder blush in Sin
Eyes: Mac Gesso eyeshadow, Black Kryolan Aqua colour, Black mascara
Lips: Mac Russian Red

I'm sorry i still haven't replied to comments. I was away from blogger for a few days and then it took me another few days to get completely caught up on all of the entries i missed. I read absolutely every entry of the people i follow, i might not comment on them all but i will have read them all :) (by the way if you have a blog and would like me to follow please leave me a link. I can't promise i will follow because im already following about 290 blogs and you're only allowed 300 but i will look)

I need to do some reviews! Reviews are possibly my favourite thing to do on my blog but they also take the most time and effort and i've been too busy lately :( But i really am not pleased looking at my blogs front page and seeing only pictures of my big ol' face and grumpy rants.

Anyway here is a list of posts i have coming up (though it may take some time)
Haus Of Gloi review
Eccentric Cosmetics Review (this one is done but i need to do swatches and have managed to lost the products D: i know they're in the room but where??)
Second Sugarpill swatches and review
Bodyshop, Lush and Avon toilletry reviews
BFTE blush and eyeshadow reviews
And more

Also there has been a lot of ridiculous, sneaky, nasty stuff comitted by that damn Citrus Crook (you know who i mean) lately. I don't know if i should post it though. Is anyone still interested in her absolute ludicrousness? I know i still find it amazing, funny and just unbelievable but other people might think i am just petty and bitchy (which of course i am but i don't have to make anything up about her, it's amazing what she gets up to).

OOTD

or Outfit Of A Day, but not today, today i am in pjs :P

this was my attempt to be a stylish clown, while still being super warm (you cannot see but i am wearing long johns under my leggings XD). The clown and dress were from Claire (she made the ruff, clever thing). and my face was really basic, just a bit of silver eyeshadow, black mascara (complete with a smudge beneath my eye X/) and red lips (NSFW lip tar, my newest favourite red lip)
