Pre-emptive Spring time

So pretty much everyone in the UK is currently getting pissed off at our dismal weather, even me and I usually love winter! But there's too much of a good thing and now I'm bored of being cold and wet and walking through mud and there being no spring flowers!
Anyway I tried to cheer myself up by dressing in my most Spring-ish outfit and then Claire and I went to Westfields and I ate too much food.

Milkshake in Butlers Chocolate Cafe (my home from home)

I got photobombed eating my lunch!

Here's a close up of my necklace which is amazing:

Wearing:
Dress: Bernie Dexter
Tights: Asos
Shoes: Clarks
Necklace: Les Nereides

Makeup:
Face: Illamasqua Skin Base foundation in 01, Sleek blush by 3 Pumpkin in Squash
Eyes: MUA Heaven and Earth Palette, Sugarpill eyeshadow in Mochi, Illamasqua Precision Ink in Abyss, Illamasqua Medium pencil in Vow, Black mascara
Lips: OCC Lip Tar in Narcissus

I absolutely love my dress, the print is amazing, it fitted beautifully and I loved that it showed up my super sloping shoulders. The company, Bernie Dexter has a bunch of absolutely beautiful clothes. Unfortunately they've just gone and discontinued all plus sizes. No idea why, they just decided not to make them anymore. So obviously I won't be giving them any more of my fat money! >:(

Very Imperfect

On Thursday it was the Illamasqua blogger event for their S/S13 collection 'I'm Perfection' and I was invited. After a lot of stress and fear I managed to get over my nerves (with the help of a cheeky drink) and set off to it feeling very excited and proud of myself.
Unfortunately I am an idiot and trusted technology.

You see the venue for the event was at a gallery that I've never been to but instead of printing myself out a nice map I figured that I would just use the maps feature on my phone to guide me there. Then, while I was on the tube, my phone just stopped working. I don't know what the hell was wrong with it but it just would not turn on. It had a full battery when I left the house so it hadn't just run out of juice.  It's working again now.

Anyway I had no way to navigate my way to the venue so I had to just turn around and go home again .
To add insult to injury I was so flustered and upset by it I forgot I had to leave a station to touch out my oyster card, so when I got home TFL charged me about £15 for my failed journey :(

The new collection looks amazing and I am so so upset I didn't make it to the event.

Here's a few posts I've found that show off the collection beautifully so you can have a look if you haven't seen yet yourself. I am drooling over the Cadburys Mini Egg style nail polishes, that bright pink lipstick and the leaf green gloss! And once again the collection images are stunningly beautiful and the message behind the campaign is moving.

Stupid Lillian!

Anyway here I am in my gladrags before I left for the event. I looked awesome as well! Grumble grumble.

Wearing:
Face: Illamasqua Skin Base in 02, Avon powder, Sleek blush by 3 Lace in Chantilly , Illamasqua Gleam Cream in Aurora
Eyes: Illamasqua eyeshadow in , Sugarpill eyeshadows in Mochi and @#$%!, a colour from the MUA Heaven and Earth palette.
Lips: Illamasqua medium pencil in Debonair, a Conjurers Cosmetics lip gloss

I get bored when taking photos and end up posing and making stupid faces. Every time.

My outfit.
Hat: Asos
Necklace: Callooh and Callay
Top: Miss Selfridge
Skirt: Asos
Tights: Topshop
Garters: Present. Made by Claire
Shoes: Clarks.

My amazing garters were a birthday present from Claire. They say 'Stop, you can go no further' in french and are awesome.

Blue Belly

Back here I said I'd show you my full outfit. At the time I wore it I felt pretty fabulous, I thought I looked amazing! But sadly now I've actually seen the photos I've taken I've been reticent to share. I do not think I look good anymore. I'm actually writing a big long post about my body issues and stuff so I won't fully go into it now but basically I think I look pregnant. Also when I was out in this I got a lot of dirty looks/laughter aimed at me which made me feel very uncomfortable and scared. It's a real shame because when I looked in the mirror before leaving I thought I was smoking!
Bur I decided I should still share the pictures with you because the outfit is awesome, just maybe not great on me at the moment.

Hat: Ebay (vintage)
Necklace: Cicely Margo
Crop Top and Trousers: Asos
Socks: Topshop
Shoes: Office

It's the first time I've worn a pair of trousers in probably about 5 years! I really like them but they need some real tailoring. I'm going to take the hem up to make them capris and bring them in so they flatter my legs a bit more. I wouldn't wear the socks next time though, they look silly.
I bought the same outfit but in red too (it was all 50% off in the saleso I got 2 outfits for the price of one!).

And here is my face:

Face: Mac Prep & Prime Face Protect SPF 50, Sleek blush in Guipere
Eyes: some shadows from the Sleek Matte V2 palette (i lost the sheet with the names, I'm wearing the light yellow and the white)
Lips: Sleek Amped

And finally here is a photo of me pulling a face upon hearing the builders next door shouting at each other:

The builders have gone now. I am relieved but also slightly sad I don't hear their 90s Europop everyday now.

My big mug

Thanks to everyone who commented so kindly on my last post. I WILL reply to all your comments, it's just taking me a ridiculously long time as I'm finding it difficult like blogging in general.

Blogger is acting weird for me at the moment, it might be because apperently my browser is no longer supported by blogger and it wants me to use Google Chrome. But that's not going to happen because I like Firefox! (other browsers are available)

Anyway I have some actually interesting posts for you coming up starting tomorrow (I promise!) like an event, swatches, reviews etc. But for now here's my big mug.

Wearing:
Face: Illamasqua Skin base in 02 (a tiny bit mixed with moisturiser), Nyx cream blush in Orange
Eyes: Illamasqua cane medium pencil smudged all over the lid and on the waterline, black mascara.
Lips: Mac Pro cream colour base in Pink Shock, Illamasqua sheer lipgloss in Divine

Because my hair is naturally very curly my fringe is a bit of a nightmare. I need to invest in some good straighteners. Or not be lazy and blow dry it properly.

My clothes are all from a few years ago so sorry if you like them!
Bunny top: Topshop (it's a size 10 or something, stupidly oversized!)
Shorts: Miss Selfridge
Tights: Topshop (you can't see them but they're nudeysheer with tiny, round, gold studs)
Shoes: Office

In other news I saw Scott Pilgrim the other day and hated it. It seems like the comic might be better. My room is still not tidy but better than the last photos I posted. And Eddie Argos is now officially my friend because he said so and can't take it back! MWA HA HA HA!

Also I am a moron.

Happy Easter!

So it's Easter. I have another bloody cold but it's not stopping me eating my weight (which is weighty) in chocolate, for it is the law.

I've been trying to get some looks done with products I need to review but unfortunately I have a giant, foul spot right next to my mouth, which is also chapped and red and sore from the cold (also my nose is all dry and flaky) so I look like I have some horrible disease. Niccceee.

Instead here's a look from a couple of weeks ago when I went to my friend Mikey's art exhibition (Bonus fun story: It was at the university he teaches it but he gave us the wrong name of the gallery and no indication of what building it was in. Claire and I wandered around the campus aimlessly with her asking students for directions to a gallery that didn't exist and me becoming more and more anxious. Then when we finally found it we appeared to be the only people who turned up who weren't students at the college. Oh the embarrassment. But then we had a nice time chatting with him). The look has absolutely nothing to do with Easter and I can't remember what I was wearing (except Inglot gel eyeliner in 79) so sue me! :P

Return of the funny face!

Now I love this outfit, I think it's so cute. But it's probably one of the least flattering things I could wear. The shorts fit me fine but really emphasize my belly and the top is both too small (at the tits where it gapes) and too big (at the waist which billows out makes me look less curvy than I actually am) But I don't care, I love my poodle top! It makes me feel like a 50s bad girl :D

Top: H by Henry Holland
Shorts: Primark
Tights: Basic black ones from anywhere.
Boots: Dr Martens

Hope you had either a spiritually fulfilling holiday or a happy secular celebration or chocolate or just a nice sunday wherever you are :)

It's my face again!

Hooray my laptop (Pinkie) has made a full recovery so I have access to all my photos again! But I'm not very well at the moment (nothing seirious so don't worry) so posts will still be sporadic for a while probably until I stop being pathetic (oh no, that will never happen! D:)

Here's some photos from early January (ohhh I suck)

Wearing:
Eyebrows: Sugarpill Love +
Eyes: Black eyeliner and mascara
Face: Illamasqua Skin Base Foundation in 02, ELF Studio HD powder (can't remember what my blusher is)
Lips: Darling Girl holo-gloss in Jolly Holly over a red lipstick (can't remember which one!)

Here's my outfit, check out my mighty post-Christmas belly!

Cardigan: Debenhams
Dress; River Island
Tights: Henry Holland for Pretty Polly
Shoes: Office

And I have black hair now :P

Have a very Glam Christmas!

My friend Mikey was playing a glam themed gig on tuesday, so I dressed up all Christmassy. Also a you can see I've dyed my hair. On the packet it was bright bright red but it's come out sort of Burgundy. I still think it's quite pretty but it's almost the same colour as my Mum's hair which makes me feel a bit weird :P

Here's mah face:

Wearing:
Face: Illamasqua Skin Base Foundation in 02, ELF Studio HD powder, Sleek blush in Salacious
Eyebrows: Sugarpill pressed eyeshadow in Love +
Eyes: Darling Girl Blitzen Eyeshadow, Darling Girl Honeypot eyeshadow, black mascara, the liner is just some loose glitter mixed with ELF Studio Makeup Lock and Seal.
Lips: Red lip pencil (offbrand :P), Darling Girl Jolly Holly Hologloss

Here's my outfit. I know I probably 'shouldn't' wear something like my plausuit, it's too high cut and not particularly flattering on my little round body, but I like it so who cares?

 Wearing:
Polka dot Jacket and diamante tights -  Topshop
Sequin playsuit - Asos
Hair bow - Dolly Dagger
Badge and necklace - Callooh and Callay
Shoes - Office (I would have worn more interesting ones but I cut my foot on a bit of smashed bauble :( )

For some reason here in the UK a disproportionate percentage of our Christmas songs are from the Glam Rock genre of music.  Wizzard, Mud, Slade, Bowie (with Bing Crosby who is, of course, totally glam) and of course this which you never here anymore. I wonder why...

OOTD - ENVY ME!

It's my New Years Resolution to find somewhere less horrible to take outfit posts. I will probbaly fail :(

Poodle puff

Claire's poodle Perry has come to stay with us. Here he is being cuddled by me. Look how happy he looks!

...or perhaps not.

Here is my face:

Wearing:
Face: Illamasqua Skin Base in 02, ELF studio HD powder, Illamasqua powder blusher in Morale
Eyes: BFTE Lace (all over lid), Sugarpill Goldilux (in the crease), Illamasqua precision eyeliner in Havoc
Lips: Rimmel Vinyl carat ligloss in Steal the Show

It's funny, in my head I think I look really rubbish with sheer or nude colours on my lips and when I can I always choose bright, opaque colours (I wore this going out for dinner so didn't want to bother with bright lipstick that would smear and stuff) but I actually think this looks very nice! Quite soft and pretty.

Here's my ouftit, which I really like. It's from River Island. Sadly it's ever so slightly too small in the bust which is why my boobs look a bit crushed :P I'm not feeling great about my body right now :(

Finally this looks like quite a nice photo until you realise both the dogs are peeing behind me.

 Cheers dogs.

FOTD - Lumi-nescent

Here's a purple and green look I done (apparently I was channelling the Joker) I think it turned out pretty pretty!

Wearing:
Face: Illamasqua Skin Base in 02, ELF Studio HD powder (can't remember or tell if I was wearing a blusher)
Eyes: Sugarpill Lumi, Sugarpill Tipsy, black mascara
Lips: Mac Violetta, Sugarpill Lumi

For the eyes I applied Lumi lightly all the way up to my browbone and then heavier on my lid. Then I took Tipsy and used an angled eyeliner brush to line my top lashline, create a wing and then bring it into the crease.

And I patted Lumi over my lipstick to just give it a little highlight. It made my lips look slightly fuller as well as adding a fun green sheen :)

I also really liked my outfit:

Wearing:
Black fluffy top thing (it's horribly short so I was wearing a primark vest underneath) by Motel
Fluffy skirt from Asos
Spotty tights from Primark
Black bow shoes from Office
Callooh and Callay Sparkling Snowflake necklace

I need to do some product reviews but I've been tidying my room and most of my makeup is thrown into a box and hard to reach at the moment. So it's gonna be faces and outfits for a while :/
