My big mug

Thanks to everyone who commented so kindly on my last post. I WILL reply to all your comments, it's just taking me a ridiculously long time as I'm finding it difficult like blogging in general.

Blogger is acting weird for me at the moment, it might be because apperently my browser is no longer supported by blogger and it wants me to use Google Chrome. But that's not going to happen because I like Firefox! (other browsers are available)

Anyway I have some actually interesting posts for you coming up starting tomorrow (I promise!) like an event, swatches, reviews etc. But for now here's my big mug.

Wearing:
Face: Illamasqua Skin base in 02 (a tiny bit mixed with moisturiser), Nyx cream blush in Orange
Eyes: Illamasqua cane medium pencil smudged all over the lid and on the waterline, black mascara.
Lips: Mac Pro cream colour base in Pink Shock, Illamasqua sheer lipgloss in Divine

Because my hair is naturally very curly my fringe is a bit of a nightmare. I need to invest in some good straighteners. Or not be lazy and blow dry it properly.

My clothes are all from a few years ago so sorry if you like them!
Bunny top: Topshop (it's a size 10 or something, stupidly oversized!)
Shorts: Miss Selfridge
Tights: Topshop (you can't see them but they're nudeysheer with tiny, round, gold studs)
Shoes: Office

In other news I saw Scott Pilgrim the other day and hated it. It seems like the comic might be better. My room is still not tidy but better than the last photos I posted. And Eddie Argos is now officially my friend because he said so and can't take it back! MWA HA HA HA!

Also I am a moron.

Swatcharama - NYX Round Lipsticks

Doesn't look like Blogger is ever going to regurgitate those comments it ate so I'm really sorry if yours disappeared!

Hmm this might not be the most timely of posts because of the all to recent NYX sale debacle (how do all these companies keep getting it so wrong??) but I had this post all ready to go and even though it sounds like the customer service is appalling I still think the products are good and worth sharing.

I have a tonne of these lovely little things. They're so so cheap (especially if you buy them from Cherry Culture during a sale.) and pretty good! They're really pigmented and creamy, not at all drying, and while they aren't super long lasting they don't fade away instantly, I need to reapply after a few hours or after eating. A couple of the paler shades go a bit patchy on me, but not terribly. The only thing I don't really like is the scent, they're sort of flowery or perfumey and I don't like that on my mouth. You can't smell it at all once it's on though, just while applying. They're definately worth the price! The swatches on Cherry Culture are appalling though, so I've ended up with some I probably won't wear and will stick on my blog sale when I finally get it up.

Orange Soda - Very unusual pastel orange with a tiny hint of peach.

Lots more after the jump

Doing Claire's Makeup

Claire wanted me to do her makeup. Oh boy was it stressful! I don't think i've ever done someone elses makeup before and i am not very good at it! Though she didn't help, she kept having laughing fits and thrashing around. I originally was going to do a semi complicated eye look but after nearly having a nervous breakdown i wiped it off and went for something much more simple.
Claire wanted a regal look to go with her new crown:

The ferret princess is better than the unicorn queen, that bizyotch don't even have no proper crown!

Claire is wearing:
Face: UD surreal skin cream foundation in Illusion, avon face powder, Illamasqua powder blusher in Sin
Eyes: BFTE Lace (on browbone and inner corner) and Sugarpill Goldilux Chromalust on lid, black mascara
Lips: NYX round lipstick in Black Cherry

Anyway even though it was stressful Claire really loved it, she said she felt beautiful afterwards so i will do it again and who knows, maybe i will get better!
However, occaisionally (presumably because i do lots of over the top 'out there' looks quite well on myself) people say i should be a makeup artist. Umm... no! It was so, so difficult to even achieve this look! :P

I then did my makeup in the design i had originally been trying for with Claire before i had to resort to a very simple one colour plus highlight eye look.

Face: UD surreal skin cream foundation in Illusion, avon face powder, Illamasqua powder blusher in Sin
Eyes: BFTE Lace (on browbone and inner corner), Sugarpill Goldilux Chromalust used very sheerly over Lace and used wet as liner on upper lid line and on waterliner, Royal Sugar on lid, black mascara
Lips: Well i thought i used the same lipstick as on Claire but it looks different :/

In other news there are too many great things I want to buy at the moment :( For the first time in ages  actually want some Mac stuff (Dare to Wear lipglasses), Models Own are having an amazing 50% off sale, Illamasqua are coming out with their new collection (anyone know if the bloggers event is happening? I got an email saying it might be in August but nothing since then so i assume it's not happening anymore), Cherry culture are having their 20% off sale etc etc
But i am going on holiday soon and also owe my mum money so i can't afford to get anything and this makes me very sad.

Retro Cherry

This was just a simple look i did when going to a friends house. Pretty basic, just eyeliner, brows and then slightly overdrawn lips. Sort of 40s inspired.
Can't remember what was on my face, which is annoying because i think it was looking particularly good. Typical!
Eyes: Sleek circus palette white (terrible pigmentation, but was just used to highlight my browbone), black eyeliner, black mascara
Eyebrows: middle colour of the brow powders on Jelly Pong Pong's Wakeup Makeup kit
Lips: NYX Round lipstick in Black Cherry

Lips like these look good (to me anyway) when i have a neutral  or slight smile but when i really smile i look bizarre! Check it out:

I think it's because it's not my natural lipline, which makes it a bit clownish looking. Which i don't mind because i like clown makeup, though usually i do more Pierrot inspired looks not whiteface or auguste types.
As you can see i need to re-dye my hair.

Excitingly my air inspired look won second place in MizzWorthy and Illamasqua's Elementals contest :) Thank everyone who commented either on my blog or the contest page with kind words.

Also i just hit 400 followers, which is absolutely amazing! Thank you so much to any new additions reading this :)

New addition!

Hello everyone. I just wanted to share with you the newest member of our family - Weevil the Kitten!

Lookit that face! (I swear i wasn't strangling him)

Sleeping <3

Cobweb head!

PAW!!!

It's wuv!

We got him just last week from family friends who needed a home for him.
Weevil is about 8 weeks old and an absolute delight. He alternates between zipping around the room like a complete mental (trying to attack feet, practicing his pounce [like Simba in The Lion King!], literally climbing the walls, playing with his toys, chasing Digby etc) and falling fast asleep. While he does tend to scratch when he's play-fighting with your feet he is a real sweety, very affectionate and loving already. He's settling in nicely, he's made friends with Digby (though the poor puppy is a bit scared of him, despite being about 3 times the size of Weevil) and ignores Minnie as much as she ignores him. Our old grumpy cat Omelette is still unsure of him but no longer spits when she sees him and old grumpy Jim is too senile to care.
I'm also amazed at how clean he is! He's learned to use his new litter tray so quickly. It's a vast contrast to Digby who still has the occaisional accident.

So yeah, kitten joy! :D

And i thought i'd share my face and outfit while I had actually got off my lazy bum to write a post :P

My dress and tights are from the New Look sale, shoes are Irregular choice, crown headband is from the Asos sale :)

I look a bit weird here!
Eyes: Sleek Bohemion palette (light cream and bright yellow colours), MUA neon yellow glitter eyeshadow, black mascara
Lips: NYX Chaos

I apologise for being a bit rubbish at posting lately! I'm trying to tidy my bedroom which is a mammoth task. Sometimes it takes weeks on end to clear the floor, let alone sort things out! Anyway i have lots of posts planned so hopefully will get them written soon. And will be going back through and replying to comments ASAP :)
can't remember what blush it was

A day and night FOTD

Have finally finished all the illustrations! Phew, i've been so stressed!

Last tuesday i went up to The Foundry, which is a pub/bar/artspace that allows anyone to put their work up on various walls.

Here is my face of the tuesday:

And close ups:

check out my insanely bloodshot eyes!

I was wearing:
face: avon personal match tinted moisturiser in light, Barry M blusher in no. 3
eyes: Barry M Kohl pencil in no. 23, beautyuk glitter eyeliner in no. 5, givenchy phenomen'eyes mascara in black
lips: Barry M lip liner in no. 2, Rimmel vinyl 1000 carat lipgloss in Steal the show

Here is my night look, which was basically my day face but with some foundation and red lipstick:

Here's the changes:
Face: Nyx liquid foundation in LM01 Pale, ELF complexion perfection powder, Collection 2000 illuminating touch concealer in naked.
Lips: Revlon Matte lipstick in Really Red

And here's (most of) my wall and some people i don't know :P :

Last night i went to take my work down and discovered that between saturday night and sunday night someone stole 3 of my paintings. I am terribly upset about it. They weren't my favourite pictures or anything, but when you work hard and put your creativity into something and someone can just get away with taken things. This is how i'm going to make my living! It's just very hurtful.

I've been a very naughty poor person and had a huge haul recently. I just watched Confessions of a Shopaholic and found myself relating much too much to the main character! D:

Anyway i have a lot more time to blog now, so i'm back babeh.
