Blue Waterline FOTD

Just a very basic FOTD :)

Face:
ELF complexion perfection
Illamasqua powder blush in Nymph

Eyes:
Illamasqua Medium Pencil in Debonnair (product rave coming soon)
Lancome Oscillation mascara

Lips:
Illamasqua Intense lipgloss in Mistress

If you didn't know, Illamasqua currently have 50% off certain cosmetics. It's only their products which are being discontinued, so there isn't a huge selection, but there's a lovely selection of cream eyeshadows and some quite wearable lip colours.

Speaking of Illamasqua, they have definately now my favourite high-end makeup brand, sailing way above MAC. A while ago i sent them an email asking for some information about some products. The response was very fast and helpful, sadly though it was what i didn't want to hear.
Their custom cream and powder eyeshadow palettes have been discontinued :(
Illamasqua used to allow you to make custom 4 shadow pallettes with their cream and powder eyeshadows and lipsticks (apparently the lipstick pallette will still be available, but is not currently on the website. Fingers crossed it comes back soon!) For about £16 (as far as i can remember). Now of course the shadows you got in these pallettes were smaller than the individual shadows, but still it seems a wonderful thing to me to be able to choose your own little pallette for such a reasonable price. Recently i went to the Illamasqua counter in Selfridges and swatched to my hearts content, finally choosing the shadows i really wanted and went home ready to order my pallettes from the website. But sadly i can't anymore :(
I basically NEVER finish an eyeshadow, so to me getting 4 smaller ones for just over the price of one larger single was really very appealing.
Hopefully something similar will come along again soon.

Lots of indie and mineral makeup reviews coming! Tomorrow i'm going to be a swatching storm :D

  3. You have gorgeous eyes - any coloured eyeliners always look pants on my waterline lol, maybe it's the way I wear them? Hmmm! Food for thought!

  5. That liner makes your eyes look intense but in sort of a light way...maybe because it's a light blue but it totally makes your eyes pop. :-)

  7. *drool* Your eyes! Your eyes! They're like crystal ice blue pools of gorgeousness!

On a TOTALLY different and unrelated note: I asked this of another UK beauty blogger and I wanted to ask you also: There's a chain of supermarkets here in the US called "Fresh & Easy" which is owned by Tesco. As a consequence, this chain stocks several interesting brands of UK food products that are totally foreign to me. One of which is Heinz Salad Cream. You can't find this product at normal American grocery stores, so every time I see it on the shelf I'm mesmerized by it. Just the words "salad cream" alone mesmerize me. lol. Anyway, would love to know if you've eaten this and if you think it's yummy. :) xo

    Small Town Gal:
Thank you! Hmmm, can't imagine why! Maybe if you were as lazy as me and just used the eyeliner and mascara it might work :P

    JacieO:
Aww, that's such a sweet comment! Thank you so much!

    BLIX:
Thank you so much! It's weird, people always say blue eye makeup doesn't work on blue eyes, but to me this makes my eyes look less grey and more blue!

    kimberley:
thank you! It's an amazing product, you can use it anywhere you want and yet its the best thing i've found for on my waterline!
Thank you, theyre pretty good on their own, but the mascara i used is amazing too.

    Recessionista!:
Awww youre so sweet :D They're a lovely colour but actually cause me problems because they're so pale. The lack of pigment means they take in too much light or something :/
Ahhh yes, Salad cream! Personally i hate it, but i hate mayonnaise and all salad dressings, vinegar and anything like that XD I'm REALLY fussy with food.
It's sort of like a lighter, dressing-ish mayonnaise or a cross between a vinegarette and ranch dressing. It's tangy.

Dont you love finding exciting foreign foods? Whenever i go on holiday i spend hours in the supermarkets :)

    Cacau:
Awww thank you so much! :D It was such a quick, easy look to do!

  10. Just got round to looking at this, I was so tired last night and busy getting some thoughts down on the IMATS that I only saw the next post, where the debonair is on your lips. It really does make your eyes look bluer! Great to see the pencil used both ways like that. You have such a great face for different colours, they really work well on you.
