Japan

I'm sure noone needs to be told about the absolutely horrible natural disaster that has occurred in Japan in the last day. To anyone who has family or loved ones in Japan my thoughts, and I'm sure everyone else reading this, are with you and I hope with all my heart nothing bad will happen.
I found out the best place to donate to help is here or here if you're in the US (not sure where's best if you're international) but here seems legitimate too.
Also I was going to have a blog sale soon anyway but will be getting it up as soon as possible so I can donate a portion of the profits to the disaster fund.
Thanks for reading everyone.

  1. Lady Gaga also made wrist bands you can buy for $5 for the relief effort in Japan. You can choose to donate more, as well, and all the proceeds goes toward helping Japan. I think it's nice because it might give someone incentive to donate who may not have thought of doing so before. Link: http://ladygaga.shop.bravadousa.com/Dept.aspx?cp=14781_42444
I'm not sure if they're available internationally, though. I checked the UK store and didn't see anything on it.
    Just thought I'd share. :)

  3. When I first read this I was so tempted to comment and ask if you could share the proceeds with Christchurch. I am a kiwi and it really hit home when Christchurch (Chch) was hit by a quakes, first in September and now in Febuary - especially when it was Wellington that was expecting the Big One.
But upon seeing the horrific images from Japan I will support your fundraising for these people. From one country to another they helped up HEAPS 3 weeks ago with our tragedy and we have just sent over urban search and rescue people to help out. Yes Japan was "prepared" for a disaster like this, but not of this magnitude. They will need all the support they can get in order to rebuild hundreds of thousands of lives in a region scoured bare by the sea.
Good on you Lillian for helping out. Hopefully you will enable the blog sale to be open to internationals so people like me can get goodies not available here (Benefit, Illamasqua, Inglot, MUFE, Liz Earle etc).
