It's boil-in-the-bag perversion for sexually repressed accountants and first-year drama students with too many posters of Betty Blue, The Blues Brothers, Big Blue and Blue Velvet on their blue bloody walls!

Well yes but isn't it fun?

Yesterday I went to see Rocky Horror for a friends Birthday. It was a very impromptu thing but I had to dress up because I will dress up at the drop of the hat. As I had only a couple of days notice I was stuck for what I could wear but then my friend Pippa suggested I went as Columbia in her pjs. Perfect! An excuse to leave the house in pyjamas is always good in my book! So I nicked a pair of my Mum's (which apparently are about 40 years old and belong to an ex-boyfriend) and grabbed a pair of Mouse ears from my collection and I was done.

I have proper bitch-face in these full length photos. I swear I was smiling, you just can't tell!

My makeup sure wasn't perfect but I still liked it and thought I did a pretty good job :)

Wearing:
Face: Illamasqua Skin Base foundation in 02, Avon loose powder, Sugarpill Love+ eyeshadow (as blush), Illamasqua Intrigue blusher (a matte white highlighter)
Eyes: MUA matte eyeshadow in Shade 16, Illamasqua Liquid Ink eyeliner in Abyss, black mascara
Lips: Mac Cherry lip pencil, Revlon Fire and Ice lipstick, Mac Russian Red Lipglass

The show was good but had the weirdest (possibly most typically English) version of the Time-Warp ever. The audience were hilarious, they got up to dance in the chorus and then  sat down in every verse  then get up again in the chorus. It was ridiculous! But very very funny.

Here's me, my family and my best friend at the time going to see the show back in about 1997/8 (guessing I'm about 9 or 10) aren't we cute?

It was Halloween innit?

Hi everyone! I hope everyone had a very happy Halloween. Halloween is one of my favourite holidays, we have a party every year and have 3 whole suitcases/trunks of decorations and usually I cook up a ridiculous amount of themed goodies and we play games and go really over the top. This year everyone's been very busy though and as I was the only one around I just couldn't deal with the stress, so we had a much calmer party with only 1 trunks worth of decorations :P

We decided to do the unthinkable and buy our costumes instead of making them. I know, terrible behaviour!
I was a clown. Here is my makeup.

I know, it's not very well done, but I sweated it all off in about 10 minutes anyway :P

Illamasqua Week - 1920s Dystopia tutorial

Yesterday I wanted to do a really fun, avant-garde inspired FOTD with my Illamasqua products. I decided to take my inspiration from their Dystopia collection and the images they promoted it with and combine it with a 1920s flapper look. As it's unusual and fun i thought i'd try to do my first proper tutorial with pictures.

Face: Gosh foundation in Porcelain, Screen face white translucent powder, Illamasqua Illuminator in Fondle, Dainty Doll concealer in Fair.
Eyes: Illamasqua Illuminator in Odyssey, Illamasqua powder eyeshadows in  , kajal liner (unsure of brand, thanks Rhamnousia!), Lancome Oscillation mascara.
Lips: Barry M lipstick in 37 (black), Nyx lip liner in blackberry, Illamasqua Intense Lipgloss in Galactic

So if you'd like to learn how to do this tutorial please read below the cut :)

I've been a bit poorly recently but have managed to play around with new makeup.

some FOTDs:

I bought a pressing solution from coastal scents and when it arrived it had leaked (just a tiny tiny bit, not enough to be a problem) and somehow the bit of liquid made all the letters come off the label and i could push them around. How amazing does this look?:

And finally, here is what i looked like on Halloween (which i actually celebrated a week late because i had some bad stuff happening on the actual halloween). The makeup is quite terrible because i was in the middle of it when my guests turned up (all early!) so i had to just shove the rest on quickly.
This is my hilarious 'sexy' Mickey look :P

While my first ELF order (the brushes, which i'm still testing) took over 2 weeks to arrive, my second one (a few of the new Studio Line products) came the day after i ordered it! Amazing! I'm going to do a review on what i got soon, i am so incredibly impressed already.

I had a really nice night yesterday, shopping at Carnaby street where (basically) all of the shops had 20% off everything! I did get a lot of nice stuff, but i didn't go into a shopping mania of buying every single little thing i wanted. I went into the Mac Pro shop and it was hellish! We had to queue to get into the shop! So i didn't do any browsing because it was so very busy and stressful, but i picked up a few bits that have been on my wishlist for a while.

Tomorrow i have to do a really dull job in my house, but hopefully i'll be able to take some photos soon.

Also as i now have 46 followers i'd like to announce that i'm going to do a give-away when i get 50. I really can't thank you guys enough. I had no idea so many people would be interested in my little ramblings. I'm really touched :)
