I apologise for being a terrible blogger lately. My depression has been quite bad lately and when it's bad I don't have the energy to do anything, even just typing up a post is too difficult. And now I'm feeling better but have to tidy my bedroom.
Tidying my bedroom is a hellish and dangerous job that comes up about once a year (because I am a complete slob). Everytime I've managed to tidy it I think 'I'll never let it get this bad again!' but I'm just lying to myself. I managed about 4 hours today (though I actually started tidying it about 2 months ago, did several days of work and then got fed up with it seeming to go nowhere and gave up) before I started worrying I might lose an arm and had to go have a big glass of water. I probably have another week of work to go but I will prevail!
You may think I'm exaggerating, allow me to prove you wrong! These photos were taken after about 3 hours of work:
Oh God the horror D:
But I will be blogging again soon and I will have the worlds biggest blog sale as I need to clear space!
I'm glad I'm not the only untidy person around here! I also suffer from depression and my room gets more and more cluttered for months, then I sort it, and within a week it's bad again. I think it's true that if you have a messy mind you have a messy room and vice versa. Good luck with the tidying! x
ReplyDeleteGeez! I hope you get better soon!
ReplyDeleteyou have my sympathy my love I'm the same I get things out don't have the energy to put them back repeat to fade then I end up having to do it over the course of several days - I've even had to sleep on the sofa before because I couldn't access my bed and I didn't have the energy to finish what I'd started - I'm really trying harder to keep things organised this year - I'm setting aside a day a month and an hour a week to keep it manageable xx good luck xx
ReplyDelete:) glad you're getting back on top and I can't wait for the blog sale!!
ReplyDeleteL.
Good Morning Angel.
Well that's enough on your plate =) (psst.. my sister's room is exactly the same.. sshh!! er, mines getting there!)
ReplyDeleteI know exactly what you're going though, good luck x

ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry you've been so poorly recently lovely Lill, I completely relate to how you're feeling. I do the bare minimum just to get past health and safety standards, I would much rather do things that make me feel happy like making shit and drinking endless cups of tea. Do you have trouble reading when you're struggling with illness? I have so many books piled up to read but I get two pages in and my mind feels like it's about to explode! Big hugs xxxxxx
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry :(
ReplyDeleteIf it's any consolation, I can't wait for another blog sale: I LIVE in the 'diamond' ring that I bought in your last blog sale.
Oh no, I'm sorry you've been feeling so bad. I do know how you feel and wouldn't want it for anyone. If I could wish it away for you I most certainly would. I know it doesn't work that way, but I'll still keep trying anyway.
ReplyDeleteI hope you feel better soon, gorgeous lady. And I too loathe tidying and organizing -_-
ReplyDelete*hugs* Feel better soon Lillian :(
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you're starting to feel better, sweets! And I am *exactly the same* with our bedroom, particularly with laundry (clean or otherwise), and my purses and stuff like magazines and books. They're just all over the floor. I'm cleaning it today, myself - after catching up on blog-reading. :) <3 you!

ReplyDeleteI've always been a slob and horribly messy but the depression just makes things worse because I don't have the strength to tidy up after myself :(
Eve:
Thank you!
Louise:
I know the feeling. Even before I had my depression I was a horribly messy person and also became very stressed when things became too much for me, like when I have a bunch of stuff and don't know where any of it should go! You plan sounds really good, I hope you can make things a bit more manageable for yourself x
L. Figment:
Thank you! I hope I'll have the sale up soon!
Maya:
Thanks Maya! The terrifying thing is that my room has actually been worse before. A lot worse D:
Pull Your Socks Up!:
Thank you so much. I have too much stuff and not enough space to put it in! :(
I have had trouble reading when my depression is at it's worse, at those times I just can't concentrate on anything :( At the moment I'm ok, I read in bed because it relaxes me and I have trouble getting to sleep
Jupiter:
Aww thank you! I'm glad the ring went to such a loving home :D
Jessi M:
Thank you so, so much Jessi. I'm a bit better now thankfully.
Robyn:
Cheers Robyn. I find it so boring and irritating! I need a giant house!
SilhouetteScreams:
Thanks lovely x
kathyeffingjacobs:
I'm glad to know I'm not the only one who uses the floor as storage! I still haven't finished tidying but it's getting there slowly.
Thank you so much beautiful Kathy <3
